KPNQwest Italy is an Italian company providing telecommunications services to over 3500 Italian companies and operating in the COMM2000 group together with Messagenet and CommStrategy.
Our services cover the most significant technologies useful for the business-to-business market:

The company is based in Milan and runs a network of commercial offices and agencies in Rome, Emilia Romagna, Triveneto.
History
- 1985 - The company was founded with the name COMM2000, the first Italian company to offer telecommunications services in competition with the incumbent operator (proprietary e-mail services and telex outsourcing)
- 1991 - Release of national and international data link services (X.25 and F/R)
- 1995 - Provision of Internet and data center services
- 1999 - First player, after the incumbent, to offer ADSL services in Italy. Also first to provide integrated communications services: email, fax, telex and SMS.
- 2000 - COMM2000 is co-founder of MIX Srl, the company that runs the main Italian NAP (still a member of the Board of Directors).
- 2000 - After 15 years of growth and no debts, the Dutch company KPNQwest NV acquires COMM2000 and confirms the Italian management
- 2000/2002 - KPNQwest invests two billion Euros in fiber optic infrastructure and CyberCentres construction, including the Milan Caldera data center.
- 2003 - The Italian management buys back the company and the Italian infrastructures.
- 2005 - KPNQwest Italy launches VOIP services
- 2007 - The company obtains the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 certification
- 2008 - Opening of the second data center in Milan Caldera
- 2009 - Launch of document management services: outsourced applications for electronic storage and archiving.
- 2010 - Opening of the third data center in Milan Caldera
- 2011 - Grand opening of the fourth data center within the Milan Caldera campus
